nVent Electric plc recently announced the launch of two new c-UL-us Listed, modernized heat tracing controllers for fire protection piping and other critical heat tracing applications. The nVent RAYCHEM 465 controller is optimized for fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems, while the nVent RAYCHEM 460 controller is tailored for pipe freeze protection and flow maintenance applications.
Omron Automation Americas recently launched the compact CP2E Series all-in-one controller with an extended temperature range that integrates I/O ports, communication and motion control and increases reliability in a variety of applications.
The AutomationDirect Productivity2000® PLC is a modular, rack-based system with a full lineup of discrete, analog and specialty I/O modules providing over 400 local I/O points. With remote expansion, over 4,000 total I/O points are available. Two new 4-channel analog input modules (from $159.00) provide 0-20 mA or 0-10 VDC inputs, and two new 4-channel analog output modules supply 4-20 mA or +/- 10 VDC outputs.
Engineer, control and visualize your projects even more easily and conveniently with the PFC200 Controller thanks to e!COCKPIT (CODESYS V3) and Linux. Bring your innovations to market faster and earn a quicker return on investment: WAGO offers you both with its new end-to-end software engineering.
AMT series encoders from CUI Devices are advanced capacitive encoders with a variety of uses. AMT series encoders are typically mounted to the back of a stepper motor but can be used in many other applications. CUI offers the AMT series encoders with configurable pulses per revolution (PPR). The PPR can be set for most models using the free AMT Viewpoint software (the AMT10-series encoders are configured using DIP switches).
Phoenix Contact introduces six new universal temperature transducers. These new additions to the MACX MCR family are loop-powered and have two channels. The new modules include two non-Ex and two Ex I versions in two different mounting formats: head-mount and DIN rail-mount. The temperature transmitters support more than 28 different temperature sensors.
Introducing ifm’s SafeLine standard PLC and fail-safe PLC with the easiest wiring of inputs/outputs by means of AS-i which perfectly complements all fieldbuses, with a high-performance, fail-safe automation system up to SIL3, PL e. The SafeLine comes with a full graphic color display and integrated webserver for user-friendly configuration and diagnostics, various communication protocols on different interfaces, and is designed for Industry 4.0 applications.
The SNAP-IDC5-SW and SNAP-IDC5-SW-NC modules provide four channels of contact status input. Each module supplies 15 volts of power to an external dry contact switch. The SNAP-IDC5-SW senses switch closure; the SNAP-IDC5-SWNC senses switch opening. Each user-supplied switch is connected with two wires.
Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. announced the release of its next generation MELSERVO-J5 Series of AC servo motors, amplifiers, and motion control units. The MELSERVO-J5 Series brings performance, reliability, flexibility and efficiency to a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, packaging, printing, converting, material handling and more. MELSERVO-J5 is a result of continuous innovation and improvement upon the MELSERVO Series of products that Mitsubishi Electric has produced since 1988.
B&R is offering a new Compact-S PLC with 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB of internal flash memory. That gives the X20CP0484-1 more than twice the RAM capacity of previous models from the Compact-S series. It is ideal for applications with high requirements for memory and performance.
The Type1 Light S CPU mounts in a standard V2000 I/O rack (3 I/O, 5 I/O or 8 I/O racks are available). It can replace a S2E module. The Type1 Light S does not support racks with station bus, or I/O modules that require a station bus. The Type1 Light S CPU has both a RS485 port and an Ethernet port which supports Toshiba’s ASCII computer link protocol. This allows connection by any HMI or SCADA software that has the Toshiba computer link driver.
Carlo Gavazzi has launched loop detectors for either single or dual loops, available in either plug-in or DIN rail mount housings. The loop detectors are equipped with automatic loop frequency tuning and sensitivity tuning to provide easy installation.
The Drives & Motion division of Yaskawa America, Inc. proudly introduces the GA500 Industrial Microdrive, reflecting Yaskawa’s continued customer commitment to providing sustainable, flexible, and easy-to-use products. “This drive builds on the deep history of Yaskawa’s product quality,” Ed Tom, Product Manager, said. “The GA500 provides high reliability with its design to deliver a minimum of 10 years of continuous operation.”
Available immediately from ADVANCED Motion Controls are three new additions to the FlexPro servo drive family, the FM series. Designed with compact form and power density in mind, the micro-sized drives can outperform larger-sized digital servo drives and still be integrated into tight spaces. The new FM drives are equipped with an additional interface board that makes it easy to integrate into your system with standard connectors.
The open-source ProductivityOpen platform provides all the great features of a standard Arduino plus the added power and reliability of an industrial controller. The processor circuit of the P1AM-100 Arduino-compatible CPU is designed to mimic the Arduino MKRZero microcontroller. The P1AM-100 is compatible with most available Arduino MKR format shields, and/or the industrially-hardened ProductivityOpen shields, and can utilize most Arduino sketch programs found on open-source websites.
