Bourns: Model 1260 Series DIN-Rail Pluggable Surge Protective Devices Designed for High-risk Electrical Service Entrance and Branch Panels
Bourns, Inc. has recently announced its new Model 1260 Series Surge Protective Devices (SPDs). These AC hybrid SPDs are designed with an advanced MG (MOV + GDT technology) architecture that delivers enhanced reliability and safety protection due to the architecture’s no leakage or follow-on current features. Bourns developed its latest series of hybrid SPDs as an optimum protection solution for electrical service entrances, branch panels, heavy industrial systems, EV charging stations or virtually any power circuit in installations without Lightning Protection Systems (LPS)/lightning rods.
Bel-Fuse: Expanded Line of 3PH Series Three Phase Transformers for Industrial and Medical Applications Now Available
Bel Fuse Inc has recently announced that its Signal Transformer division released the expansion to their 3PH Series of Three Phase Dry Type Transformers targeted for use in medical, industrial, lighting, electric vehicle charging and green energy applications. Adaptable to multiple requirements, these rugged isolation transformers are designed and permanently configured for a 3 phase DELTA input and a WYE output. A value-added electrostatic shield (ESS) between input/output windings attenuates line noise by preventing feed-through of undesirable signals and serves as a safety feature in the event of single fault conditions.
Weidmuller USA: New RailAssembler and RailLaser Solutions Bring Automated Cabinet Building Closer to Customers
Weidmuller USA has recently announced the full operation of its Automated RailAssembler and RailLaser machines for a faster, more efficient way to assemble and mark terminal rails. “We’re proud to offer our customers in North America the next level for automated terminal rail assembly and marking. It’s a game-changer for panel builders in every industry sector,” said Carlus Hicks, Director Cabinet Products Division with Weidmuller USA.
As the landscape of modern manufacturing continues to change and evolve, today’s manufacturers need increased industrial enclosure versatility, particularly when it comes to floormount enclosures. Recent trends, like retrofitting for warehouse automation and the need to reduce your automation footprint, are pushing manufacturers to source enclosures that offer high levels of protection and durability without sacrificing flexibility or ease of integration. The new Rittal VX SE Floormount enclosure system fits the bill.
SCHURTER series DG11 and DG12 with and without mains filter features a first-of-its-kind ingress protection solution for IEC inlets, consisting of a seal gasket between the connector and mating V-Lock power cord. The blue colored latch of the V-Lock power cord and blue inlay of the appliance inlet indicate that the two have been equipped to provide an IP54 rating under load. The unit is screw mounted and rated IP67 between the power entry module and the panel.
Balluff’s new CIP Safety I/O module safely connects sensors and actuators to industrial controllers, even in harsh environments. Its IP67 protection rating means it can be mounted directly on the machine, like Balluff’s IO-Link and standard I/O modules, to easily connect safety devices without spending the time and effort on traditional wiring terminations.
The Modicon M241 is a Micro PLC designed to handle more advanced machine automation with a mixture of hardwired I/O and automation bus/communications with devices such as drives, motion, remote I/O and HMIs. The M241 has generous offer of Serial, Ethernet and CANopen communication ports in addition to USB and SD provisions. It’s available with either 24 or 40 I/O points and is expandable with TM3 I/O modules to handle up to a few hundred I/O points.
Panel builders have new tools for bringing power and signals back into protected areas with Banner’s M8 and M12 receptacles. These receptacles let users easily connect devices to a panel while maintaining a waterproof IP67 rating. Maintenance is also simplified: if a cable is damaged between a field device and the control panel, simply swap the damaged cable for a new one—no rewiring is needed in the panel. The slim profile leaves no bulky threads sticking out, allowing an easier fit into tight panels.
Pepperl+Fuchs adds the powerful M-LB-4000 to its portfolio of surge protection systems. The two-part system is based on a modular design consisting of a base module and a protection module. The latter contains the entire protection function. Thanks to this modularity of the M-LB-4000, installation and maintenance are simple and convenient. The base modules are mounted onto a standard 35 mm DIN-rail, while the protection modules can be plugged effortlessly into the base modules.
