Johnson Controls has recently named Julie Brandt as vice president and president, Building Solutions North America (BSNA), effective April 10, 2023. As the leader of BSNA, Brandt will be responsible for strategy and execution for the $9B North American direct-channel business. She will focus on capturing market leadership, driving operational excellence and accelerating growth by delivering a diverse portfolio of solutions for a variety of industries – from schools to office buildings, arenas to hospitals – to create healthier, more secure and more enriching environments for BSNA customers.

United Flow Technologies Finalizes Acquisitions of Kodru-Mooney and Macaulay Controls

Recently, United Flow Technologies was pleased to announce that it had completed the acquisitions of Kodru-Mooney in October 2022, and Macaulay Controls Company in March 2023, two providers of best in class products and value-added services. UFT has completed nine acquisitions since its formation in July 2021. The two acquisitions will accelerate UFT’s strategic position into the Midwest and Texas regions, add product categories to the platform and strengthen OEM partnerships. The EPLAN Data Portal now has 436 manufacturers and more than 1,420,000 data sets available with the update on March 23, 2023. New manufacturer catalogs come from Adamczewski Elektronische Messtechnik GmbH with 65 data sets for input isolators and power value transformers, Fagor Automation, S. Coop. with 21 data sets for converters and PLCs, and Kyowa Europe GmbH with 10 data sets for converters, motors and PLCs.

Siemens: Sinamics G220 Added to Xcelerator Portfolio

With Sinamics G220, Siemens is launching a new high-performance frequency converter to join the Sinamics family in the run-up to Hannover Messe 2023. The innovative frequency converters are equipped with so-called clean power technology. This reduces harmonics by up to 97 percent without the need for line harmonic chokes or DC link chokes. As a result, the Sinamics G220 frequency converters are significantly more efficient in terms of space utilization and operation and make engineering much easier. The new frequency converters are also the first Sinamics drives to be part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, the Siemens-wide business platform for digital transformation.
