EPLAN Data Portal Update 01 March 2024

In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 483 manufacturers and more than 1,680,000 data sets are available with the update on March 14, 2024. New manufacturer catalogs are available from KERPEN DATACOM GmbH with 343 new data sets for cables. Manufacturers with updated and new data sets include Amokabel, FRABA GmbH, Lenze SE, Schneider Electric SA, TE Connectivity, and Weidmuller Group.

Schneider Electric to Invest $140 Million in 2024 to Expand U.S. Manufacturing Presence to Support Critical Infrastructure, Industries, and Data Center Demand

Recently, Schneider Electric announced plans to invest $140 million into its U.S. manufacturing operations and create about 750 new manufacturing jobs across the country in 2024. The company will invest $85 million initially to transform and equip an existing 500,000 square foot building in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and upgrade its existing Smyrna, Tennessee manufacturing operations. Both locations will manufacture custom electrical switchgear and medium voltage power distribution products to bolster support for critical infrastructure, industries, and the escalating demand for data center solutions across the U.S.

Blazer Electric Supply is an electrical distributor that serves construction, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. The company was founded in 2009 and operates two locations in southern Colorado. As a subsidiary of Graybar, the company will operate under the Blazer Electric Supply name. Trevor Blazer will serve as president, and the company’s employees will continue to support customers with the same products, solutions, and services.

In late September of 2023, California-based industrial automation and IIoT manufacturer Opto 22 announced a new, elevated partnership status with Inductive Automation as a Solution Partner. Rockwell Automation Names Matheus Bulho Senior Vice President, Software & Control

Rockwell Automation, Inc. has recently announced that Matheus Bulho is named senior vice president, Software & Control, effective April 1. He will report to Rockwell Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Blake Moret. In this role, Bulho will lead the operating segment that includes control and visualization software and hardware, information software, and network and security infrastructure. Bulho succeeds Brian Shepherd, who is leaving Rockwell in June to pursue other interests.
