Allied Electronics & Automation has strengthened its rapidly-expanding roster of more than 500 world-class suppliers with the addition of product lines from Invertek Drives, LPS, Makita, Bayshore Networks, PCTEL and Datalogic. As part of its focus on enhancing the customer experience, Allied continues to expand its product portfolio to meet the wide-ranging needs of customers. In onboarding more than 50 new best-in-class suppliers in 2020, Allied has made more than 10,000 new product lines available to customers.

Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM) has recently announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Synovos, a leading player in integrated supply solutions in the Americas, for a total consideration of $145 million on a debt-free, cash-free basis. The Synovos acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including US anti-trust, and is expected to complete in Q1 calendar year 2021.
