Festo Names Dr. Wilm Uhlenbecker CEO of its North America Business Region

Festo has recently announced the pending retirement of its North American Business Region CEO Carlos Miranda on April 1 and the appointment of the business region’s new CEO Dr. Wilm Uhlenbecker. Uhlenbecker began his career in 1994 as a management trainee at Robert Bosch GMBH. He distinguished himself in every position, and, by 2003, he was the Assistant to the Robert Bosch CEO and Chairman Supervisory Board. He has held senior leadership positions throughout his career and in 2019 was named President NA, Brose Group.

ABB To Invest $120 Million To Expand US Manufacturing

Recently, ABB announced that it will invest $120 million in the United States to expand the production capacity of its low voltage electrification products. The investment will enable ABB to meet increasing demand from customers in a wide range of key growth industries, including data centers, buildings and utilities. ABB expects to create 50 new jobs at a new advanced manufacturing facility in Selmer, Tennessee, and will double the size of its existing manufacturing site in Senatobia, Mississippi, creating 200 new jobs.

Schneider Electric Opens New Data Center and Microgrid Testing Labs at Global R&D Center in Massachusetts

Schneider Electric recently held a ribbon cutting to mark the opening of new data center and microgrid research laboratories in the heart of its Global R&D Center in Andover, Mass. The new labs are a part of €2.26 billion (approx. $2.4 billion) that the company invested in 2024 globally to support research and development. Andover is one of five R&D Centers operated by the company. With the addition of the new spaces, Schneider Electric now has 40 labs in Andover.
