SCHURTER launches a new FPAC Rail 3-phase filter series for DIN rail mounting. Thanks to the slim housing (44 mm), it takes up very little space on the mounting rail in the control cabinet. The single-stage filter is available with standard or high attenuation. A metal base plate ensures an excellent ground connection to the rail. Space is almost always at a premium in control cabinets for industrial applications in the 3-phase range (e.g. motor drives, control systems). SCHURTER addresses this problem with a complete new filter design that is just 44 mm in width.
Eaton’s Arc Flash Relay (EAFR) provides reportedly unmatched switchgear protection. This relay reduces arc flash energy by quickly clearing the current feeding the arc. The sensitive light inputs with current permissive detection identify low power phase to ground arc faults. The EAFR works to prevent faults in medium and low-voltage switchgear, and the factory-installed Arc Flash Relay modules and sensors allow for simple integration into electrical assemblies.

The uninterruptible power supply (UPS) includes Phoenix Contact’s UPS IQ technology and battery management system, so technicians can always access important data for quick troubleshooting. Previously, applications between 1.5 and 2.5 kVA required connecting two UPS modules and four or more batteries in parallel. The modular QUINT HP AC UPS saves space and reduces costs for larger applications. The panel-mounted platform has a battery capacity range of 7-200 amp hours and can monitor up to five battery units.

Six new products are joining WAGO’s selection of ECBs. WAGO’s 4- and 8-channel electronic circuit breakers will soon come equipped with a communication interface. These devices allow a choice among IO-Link, Modbus RTU and Manchester protocol for configuration, control and monitoring. Combining them with a controller makes it possible to read out current values, adjust tripping thresholds, configure behavior in limiting ranges, set an individual pre-warning and switch and reset channels individually.
