Emerson has recently announced the release of its PACSystems RSTi-EP CPE 200 programmable automation controllers (PAC). This new family of compact PACs helps original equipment manufacturers (OEM) successfully meet customer requirements by minimizing the need for specialized software engineering talent. CPE 200 controllers will deliver large programmable logic controller (PLC) capability in a small, cost-effective, IIoT-ready form factor so machine manufacturers do not need to sacrifice performance for price.
The newest medium voltage variable drive frequency from Rockwell Automation delivers excellent performance in about half the space. The latest enhancement to the PowerFlex 6000T drive now accepts up to 13.8 kV primary voltage, nearly twice the input voltage, in a footprint that is only 2310…3010 mm (7.58…9.87 feet) wide. The drive can be applied to 3…4.16 kV applications with high voltage input built in.
AutomationDirect has released the new CLICK PLC programming software version 3.30, which allows any CLICK PLUS CPU to be configured as a 3-axis PTO/PWM motion controller. 100kHz high-speed inputs and outputs are offered with any DC option slot I/O module placed in slot 0 of the CPU. With this module, CLICK PLUS PLCs can easily perform velocity moves, homing commands, or interpolated positioning.
PowerFlex 6000 medium voltage variable frequency drives (VFDs) packaged in Type 3R or IP54 enclosures are specifically designed and built for outdoor or remote installations to eliminate the need for a control room.
Flexible and modular automation solutions require I/O systems that enable personnel protection directly at the danger zone. The new PDP67 PN with PROFINET/ PROFIsafe interface is the ideal solution for safety outside the control cabinet. Thanks to its robust design with protection class IP67, it can be installed directly at the machine. This saves space in the control cabinet and enables modular plant designs.
Rockwell Automation, Inc. recently announced the release of its new Allen-Bradley Armor PowerFlex AC variable frequency drives for industrial motor control applications. The on-machine drives provide quicker installation, simple commissioning and predictive maintenance. As an on-machine solution, the Armor PowerFlex drives move controls and hardware out of a cabinet and onto the machine, closer to the application.
The new IO-Link function modules from Leuze simplify the integration of device data into PLC programs. This saves the users time and enables error-free installation. With their IO-Link function modules, the Sensor People at Leuze are introducing a powerful tool for manufacturers and operators: it renders the integration of IO-Link device data into PLC programs significantly easier.
Allied Electronics & Automation now offers Banner Engineering’s Snap Signal portfolio of modular, brand agnostic, plug-and-play IIoT solutions, including the new Snap Signal DXMR90 industrial controller. Banner’s Snap Signal solutions are designed to leverage machine data from automation islands scattered throughout the factory floor, convert disparate data signals from both condition monitoring and process monitoring solutions into a unified protocol and transmit that insightful diagnostic data to a dedicated PLC or SCADA control system for local processing or an edge device used to monitor equipment conditions in the cloud.
Configurable small controller PNOZmulti 2 with ground-breaking software version 11.0 and new base unit tailor-made for applications and no licence costs.
Multi-Purpose Management Devices are flexible lines of site and zone Managers. They allow facility Managers and Contractors to install and manage integrated solutions for HVAC, lighting, and metering. They are also a quick and efficient link between multiple devices based on many standard protocols. The Building Expert web building energy management system is embedded in the MPM Devices.
The T3 series Bacnet programmable controller is a low cost performer with big system features. There are three versions with various I/O configurations and can be expanded with external i/o modules to form a complete building automation solution. Product highlights include a full featured building automation system without the big system cost, and no licenses or recurring cloud fees with free updates.
An enhanced version of Banner’s XS26 Safety Controller is now available with built-in In-Series Diagnostics (ISD). This technology simplifies installation, provides comprehensive real-time data about automation safety equipment, and prevents or reduces downtime. The expandable XS26-ISDd allows users to configure and monitor up to 394 connected safety devices.
Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. is announcing the release of the common DC bus servo drive (MELSERVO-J5D) solution. MELSERVO-J5D servo amplifiers are ideal for medium to large servo applications that require multiple drive units capable of managing regenerative energy. Available in 400V and 1kW to 7kW capacity, MELSERVO-J5D servo amplifiers expand the existing drive capabilities for the MELSERVO-J5 portfolio and are compatible with MELSERVO-J5 servo motors (HK-KT/ST/RT/MT).
