AutomationDirect has added new high-quality and efficient stainless steel Seifert SoliTherm 340 BTU/H thermoelectric coolers with 120- and 230-volt power options. Thermoelectric coolers from Seifert use the Peltier Effect to create a temperature difference between the internal and ambient heat sinks, making internal air cooler while dissipating heat into the external environment.
As modern manufacturing becomes more variable and automation footprints become larger and more complex, the risk of industrial accidents increases, especially in the form of fires and explosions. While there are certainly precautions and processes manufacturers can implement to combat this risk and ensure safe manufacturing processes, today’s manufacturers need industrial enclosure solutions that are approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
The HOFFMAN WaterShed stainless steel Freestand enclosure, with its unique design and Type 4X rating, is a perfect fit for mounting electrical or high-tech electronic equipment in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings. Its unique features are specifically designed for use in sanitary washdown production environments like food, beverage, or pharmaceutical processing. However, these same features also are useful in petrochemical plants, pulp and paper facilities and waste-water treatment plants.

FactoryTalk Analytics GuardianAI software offers maintenance engineers the insight to understand the current condition of assets on the plant floor. They receive early notice as soon as an asset begins deviating from normal. Armed with this knowledge, they can plan their maintenance activities based on which asset has the highest risk of failure and let other assets continue to run, without stopping production unnecessarily to perform service.
CUI Devices’ Thermal Management Group has recently announced the addition of IP68 rated fan models to its line of dc axial fans. These waterproof dc fans offer complete protection against moisture and dust, making them ideal for a range of harsh environments such as refrigeration, HVAC, medical, and more. The IP68 rated fans feature dual ball bearing construction, square frame sizes of 60 mm, 80 mm, or 92 mm, and airflow ratings from 14.7 up to 129.55 CFM.
