Banner’s new Q2X sensors feature miniaturized enclosures, which allow them to be fit into a wide variety of confined industrial spaces and equipment. Despite their compact size, these sensors deliver reliable, competitive performance, with robust excess gain and sensing precision to detect challenging targets. The next-generation Q2X series complements the available Q12 series of miniature sensors by providing a more expansive range of performance modes.
They are functional and yet can be used flexibly—the cylindrical photoelectric sensors of the M18 series offer five functional principles in three designs—each with a uniform interface. The M18 sensors can be used as thru-beam photoelectric sensors, retro-reflective photoelectric sensors, retro-reflective photoelectric sensors for transparency detection, and diffuse sensors with or without background suppression in almost every standard application.
Rugged and reliable – how Zytronic’s touchscreens enable safe refueling on remote sites.
Hammond Manufacturing has expanded its popular 1551 family of miniature plastic enclosures with the addition of an unventilated case option and three round versions.
CUI Devices introduces pressure sensors line to sensors portfolio.
Designed for Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SerialGuard is a fully passive serial packet sniffer that enables secure visibility within vulnerable legacy networks. This fail-safe sensor monitors Level 0 and Level 1 serial communications between field devices and controllers. Combined with the Cynalytica AnalytICS Engine Platform, it can also reveal and help alert traffic anomalies that are indicative of a cyberattack, physical attack or system misconfiguration.
Wireless, not cabled: according to this principle, wireless switches and sensors from steute guarantee safe, reliable and cable-free signal transmission in a wide range of applications. One interesting area for this solution is plastic injection moulding, especially multi-component processes which often involve machines with rotary plates. These plates enable the main part of the construction element to be moulded first and then – after rotating the plate by 90 or 180° – injection of the second part.
Banner has expanded the measurement range of its QM42-DPS Differential Pressure Sensor line to include +/- 20 inWC. In addition, the company now offers the sensor in the RS-485 modbus communication protocol for all measurement ranges. The RS-485 option allows users to add this sensor to a modbus network for complex monitoring applications, while the 1-wire serial sensor can transmit the data to a wireless controller or a gateway using the Q45DPSD transmitter for remote monitoring.
With the new AL200S PROFIsafe IO-Link module from ifm electronic, it is now possible to operate standard safety sensors and actuators via IO-Link.
Designed for monitoring of critical loads, the EISH Series features a space-saving and versatile housing which can be either DIN rail or panel mounted.
Arjay Engineering announces the upgrade of their 4100-HCF controller to display liquid level in addition to the current oil thickness display.
The newest addition to Balluff’s portfolio of magnetic field sensors can be used on any pneumatic cylinder with a C-slot, regardless of the manufacturer. The universal design allows the new models to replace several previous versions. Using fewer sensor variants reduces inventory needs and, therefore, costs. Flush-mountable and available in an extremely short design, these were designed for space-critical applications.
From milling machines to pumps and fans to wind turbines—wherever vibrations occur, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance play a crucial role in ensuring personnel and plant protection. In order to perform reliable measurements of vibration velocity and acceleration in low- or high-frequency ranges, Pepperl+Fuchs offers three new vibration sensor series.
SX-Series safety laser scanners protect personnel, equipment, and mobile equipment within a user-defined region. Banner’s new SX5-B6 can continuously scan a 275° area to create a two-dimensional protected zone around a potential hazard or obstruction. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically, installed to monitor the space around corners, or positioned centrally to observe two separate 90° zones, or attached to automated guided vehicles (AGV) to prevent collisions.
Banner introduces an additional sensor to its Q45 family, increasing the amount of model types within the series and broadening the applications that can be monitored. The Q45DPSD Differential Pressure Sensor continues to build upon the line of sensors compatible with Banner’s wireless network, and lets users monitor an additional application. Each Q45 sensor includes Banner’s reliable, field-proven wireless architecture and sensing transducers, eliminating the need to order multiple components.
