Emerson has recently unveiled the latest additions to its data acquisition (DAQ) lineup, introducing the NI cDAQ-9187 and cDAQ-9183 Ethernet chassis and NI 9204 input module. Along with a GitHub repository for NI FlexLogger DAQ software plug-ins, these new solutions provide cost-effective options for deploying high-performance test and measurement systems over Ethernet. The cDAQ-9187 and cDAQ-9813 chassis are the first entry-level Ethernet solutions in Emerson’s NI CompactDAQ family of hardware. The accompanying NI-9204 ±10-volt input module offers a lower channel count and a more affordable alternative to one of Emerson’s most popular DAQ modules.

AutomationDirect has added Murrelektronik Premium EtherCAT IO-Link master modules to their IO-Link product lineup. IO-Link masters provide standardized, point-to-point connections between smart devices and controllers. IO-Link functions similarly to traditional field I/O but adds the capability to collect diagnostic and operational data from IO-Link capable devices, helping pinpoint potential problems or improvements. Typical IO-Link systems consist of one IO-Link master (the interface between IO-Link and higher-level systems) and at least one IO-Link device.
Simplify I/O distribution and wiring with Banner’s JB Series Top Mount I/O Junction Blocks. Both 4- and 8-port configurations are available for connecting many different types of field devices including sensors, lights, and valves. Each configuration has either M8 3-pin I/O connections with an M12 8-pin or 12-pin I/O homerun connector, or M12 5-pin I/O connections with an M23 12-pin or 19-pin I/O homerun connection.
