PULS: PISA-M 4-Channel Electronic Circuit Breakers Protect, Distribute and Monitor

PULS

August 18, 2025

PULS has expanded its PISA series of electronic circuit breakers (ECBs) with (6) new PISA-M 4-channel ECB models. The new PISA-M units are an efficient solution for creating multiple lower power circuits from a single power supply to reduce system costs, wiring, complexity and space requirements.

PISA-M units are extremely compact with a width of only 22.5 mm. The ultra slim size easily fits into densely packed control cabinets, freeing up valuable space for other devices. PISA-M models can be integrated into either 12 V or 24 V systems without manual configuration due to an automatic voltage detection feature.

Protect System Availability

PISA-M protects system components from overcurrent and short-circuits, as well as protecting wiring from overheating. In addition, PISA-M protects the connected power supply from overload. Together, all of these protection features ensure high system robustness and reliability, which translates into less time spent on maintenance, lower replacement costs and a streamlined focus on operations.

Space-Saving Design

With a width of only 22.5 mm (Dims: 22.5 x 104 x 98 mm), PISA-M is the smallest 4-channel electronic circuit breaker in the market. This compact design can fit into any system, freeing up valuable space in the cabinet.

Fast and Secure Installation

The push-in connectors on the front of the module allow for quick and tool-less installation, saving both time and effort. Plus, with two-color LEDs that show the status of each output channel in real-time, and a button on each channel for easy on/off switching and resetting, operating the PISA-M is straightforward and effortless.

Flexible and Customizable

PULS provides several variations of the PISA-M. The 4ADJ modules are adjustable, meaning each output channel can be set to the required current value from 1 to 8 A. If a plug-and-play device with fixed currents is needed, PULS offers PISA-M versions with fixed-output current settings (e.g. 2 A, 4 A, 6 A, 8 A and NEC Class 2). This flexibility allows the choice of the version that best fits specific needs, making the installation process even faster, easier
and more secure.

NEC Class 2 Protection

NEC Class 2 circuits are widely used in industrial and automation systems to reduce the risk of electrical shock and fire. Typically, creating multiple NEC Class 2 circuits requires multiple power supplies that increase cost, installation and wiring time, and valuable space in control panels. PISA-M units provide up to (4) protected NEC Class 2 loads from a single power supply. The PISA-M-4CL2 automatically adjusts tripping current based on the system voltage. It delivers 3.75 A @ 24 VDC (92 W maximum) per channel and 4.85 A @ 12 VDC (60 W maximum)
per channel.

The new models are UL certified, and are an excellent solution for safe, efficient power distribution in modern automation and control systems.

PISA-M Models:

PISA-M-4ADJ: 4 Output Channels: 4x 1-8 A max. 20 A

PISA-M-4CL2: 4 NEC Class 2 Output Channels, 15 A

PISA-M-402: 4 NEC Class 2 Output Channels: Output: 4x 2 A

PISA-M-404: 4 Output Channels: Output: 4x 4 A

PISA-M-406: 4 Output Channels: Output: 4x 6 A max.20 A
