New generation of machine-level block I/O devices with IP65/67 protection
Siemens has launched a new generation of machine-level block I/O devices in the form of the Simatic ET 200eco PN. The new I/O family with IP65/67 degree of protection includes five digital I/O devices as well as an IO-Link master device and offers users a whole range of new functions for modern machine concepts and requirements. In their new industrial metal enclosure, the devices are reliably protected from UV radiation and harmful substances even under adverse environmental conditions, making it possible to use the devices outside of factory buildings.
Schmersal: RSS260 Safety Sensor With New Cost-Saving Features
(Wuppertal) The Schmersal Group has further developed its compact RSS260 safety sensor and equipped it with new software – the sensor now offers four additional, optionally selectable functions: – Feedback loop monitoring – Automatic restart / manual restart – Reset – Emergency stop monitoring. On the F0/F1 version, the RSS260 assumes the tasks of a safety relay module, i.e. monitoring of the movable safety guard as well as of the contactors directly actuated by the sensor outputs.

Siemens: SIMOVAC Non-Arc-Resistant and SIMOVAC-AR Arc-Resistant Motor Controllers
The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400). The enclosure is designed for front access, allowing the equipment to be located with the rear of the equipment close to a non-combustible wall.
