AutomationDirect has added Gladiator GECP series modular 12/24 VDC circuit protectors to their selection of electronic circuit protection devices. The GECP series offers both fixed trip current versions and a version with an adjustable trip current range and adjustable trip characteristics. LED signaling with output alarms allows real-time status monitoring. This series is compact, lightweight, and available at a very low cost per channel.
AutomationDirect: Ever Motion Solutions EtherCAT Stepper Drives
AutomationDirect has added EtherCAT-capable stepper drives from Ever Motion Solutions that offer peak performance and a rich feature set. Five new drives are available with two open-loop (no encoder feedback) models and three open/closed-loop versions. Unlike typical stepper drives, Titanio steppers can detect stalls in open-loop control mode by monitoring the motor’s back EMF. This allows system designers to take advantage of stall detection without the hassle and expense of a closed-loop system.

Siemens: SIMOVAC Non-Arc-Resistant and SIMOVAC-AR Arc-Resistant Motor Controllers
The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400). The enclosure is designed for front access, allowing the equipment to be located with the rear of the equipment close to a non-combustible wall.
