TE Connectivity Introduces KILOVAC K250 High Voltage DC Contactor

TE Connectivity has recently introduced the KILOVAC K250 high voltage DC contactors. Hermetically sealed and designed for harsh environments, TE’s new contactors carry more current and isolate higher voltages than other contactors on the market of the same size and weight.

The KILOVAC K250 contactors are rated at 250 amps continuous with an isolation voltage of 1000 Vdc. They are designed with bi-directional power switching as well as auxiliary contacts to provide engineers with a versatile high voltage contactor. TE’s new contactors also help enhance performance with the inclusion of an electronic coil economizer for low power holding capabilities.

“KILOVAC K250 contactors set a new performance standard within the industry by offering a 150% increase in current carry while maintaining package size and weight”, said Paul Waugh, product manager for TE’s Aerospace, Defense and Marine division. “We’re offering customers performance they can’t get elsewhere.”

KILOVAC K250 contactors are designed for a range of applications, including power distribution, alternative energy storage systems, circuit protection, and motor control circuit isolation.

Littelfuse, Inc. has recently announced the latest release of the 656 and 658 Series Fuse Blocks product line. These fuse blocks offer a higher amperage rating, giving electronics engineers and designers more options depending on their specific application requirements. The key differentiator of these high-resistance fuse blocks is their ability to support a higher amperage rating available in PCB-mounted (656) and surface-mounted (658) options. While the current versions are rated up to 16 A, Littelfuse is now offering versions rated at 20 A and 30 A.

Raychem RSTI-VS Separable Connector With Voltage Sensor

TE Connectivity has launched its Raychem smart RSTI-VS separable connector with voltage sensor, which can be used for grid monitoring and advanced earth fault and short circuit detection in IEC markets. Together with grid monitoring devices such as Kries’ IKI-50, distribution network operators can deploy condition monitoring, advanced fault detection and failure prediction in their networks.

Littelfuse, Inc. recently announced the release of its latest product, the LTKAK2-L Series High Power TVS Diodes. This surface mount solution addresses the market demand for automated PCB assembly process-compatible TVS diodes with a high surge rating. The LTKAK2-L Series TVS Diodes offer a compact, surface mount package compatible with automated PCB assembly processes. The smaller solution in a modified SMTO-218 package allows designers to achieve robust circuit protection with less PCB space than the available axial leaded solutions.
