OKW: ROBUST-BOX IP 66 Plastic Enclosures Now in Tough Polycarbonate

OKW’s ROBUST-BOX (IP 66) plastic enclosures for industrial electronics are now available in tough polycarbonate (PC) as standard, complementing the existing ABS version.
ROBUST-BOX is perfect for a wide range of wall-mount and desktop electronic and electrical applications: HVAC, machine building, construction, push-button controllers, sensors, measuring equipment and gateways.
PC (UL 94 HB) ROBUST-BOX offers a high resistance to heat for use in adverse environments. Its ABS (UL 94 HB) counterpart is approved as a terminal mounting case.
Both case shells are equipped with pre-molded threads, enabling designers to choose either the flat or the high part as the base. Each shell has a recessed operating area to protect a membrane keypad or product label.
Corrosion-resistant captured lid fixings are located outside the sealed area. Hidden screw shafts enable wall mounting, either directly or with brackets. Inside, there are fastening pillars for PCBs.
Light gray (RAL 7035) ROBUST-BOX is offered in 23 sizes from 3.15″ x 3.15″ x 2.36″ to 14.17″ x 9.45″ x 6.30″. The lid fixings are concealed beneath snap-on cover strips in matching light gray. These cover strips can also be specified as accessories in silver gray, red, yellow, green and blue – ideal for color-coding or branding.
Other accessories also include wall mounting brackets, hinges, DIN rail fastening elements, PCB supports, case feet, pressure equalization elements, security kits and cable grommets.
OKW can supply the enclosures fully customized. Services include machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, decor foils, special materials, RFI/EMI shielding, and installation and assembly of accessories.
