Weidmuller USA has revolutionized cabinet building with the release of the Online Weidmuller Configurator (WMC), an innovative web-based tool that makes designing DIN rail configurations fast, easy and accessible anywhere, on any device.
From planning through to production, the new Online WMC ensures a seamless and continuous digital data chain. DIN rail configurations can be created directly in any browser, stored in the cloud and shared via links. As a fully web-based tool, the Online WMC can be used on any device with internal access, including laptops, tablets and smartphones.
A central function of the Online WMC is the free integrated Assembly Assist Mode that guides production personnel with step-by-step illustrations of placement of components, enabling simple and accurate assembly. No electrical background is required to use the Online WMC, reducing the industry’s traditional dependency on highly qualified personnel at a time when there is a shortage of skilled workers.
Additionally, the Online WMC allows users to order fully assembled terminal strips direct or via authorized Weidmuller distributors. Through the Fast Delivery Service (FDS), configured terminal strips can be requested online and individual quotations are generated rapidly, resulting in accelerated assembly planning for maximum speed to enable fast, flexible and efficient execution of production processes.
