Horner Automation Group: Canvas CPU300 Modular All-in-One Machine Controller
Horner Automation has announced an advanced, all-in-one machine controller with the Canvas CPU300 Modular Controller. The CPU300 is a true all-in-one machine controller, with its single application program including functionality for Logic Control, I/O, HMI and Networking. The CPU300 is also truly modular, with the addition of snap-on OCS-I/O modules for sensor/actuator connection and HMI Connect touchscreen components for operator interface. HMI Connect touchscreens are available in a variety of sizes and IP ratings and require absolutely no setup or configuration. These touchscreens can be optimally located up to 15m from the Canvas CPU300, connected with a single, rugged cable carrying video, touch feedback and power. Multiple HMI Connect touchscreens (up to 3) can be connected to a single CPU300 through an optional accessory without any extra programming effort.
The Canvas CPU300 is programmed using Cscape 10 software, Horner Automation’s all-in-one FREE application development package. Every aspect of the machine control is handled by Cscape 10 – including logic, I/O, networking and screens. The resultant single program file is executed in the CPU300 – with the user interface distributed to HMI Connect over a single cable.
The Canvas CPU300 is perfect for applications that include central control of industrial machines (packaging, conveyor systems, robotics), real-time logic control, system monitoring, datalogging, and environments where different devices/systems need to communicate, such as food & beverage processing, energy management, agricultural machinery, and water/wastewater systems.
The Canvas CPU300, OCS-I/O modules, HMI Connect touchscreens and related accessories are available starting August 20, 2025.
