ABB Expands Instrumentation Manufacturing Capacity in Bartlesville, OK

ABB is strengthening its ability to meet growing demand for instrumentation in the North American market by consolidating instrumentation manufacturing under one roof in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and expanding the Bartlesville site with a new 12,000-square-foot calibration hall. The production of ABB’s highly accurate pressure, temperature, and level transmitters, as well as positioners, flow meters, pneumatic actuators and some continuous gas analyzers used in the oil and gas, chemical, water and other industries, will move to Bartlesville, Oklahoma starting in 2024.

KORE Power Selects Siemens Xcelerator to Optimize Production at Arizona Gigafactory

Siemens announced recently that KORE Power, Inc., a U.S.-based developer of battery cell technology for the clean energy and e-mobility industries, has selected advanced manufacturing software and hardware from the Siemens Xcelerator open business platform for the KOREPlex. This new 1,330,000-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility in Arizona will use multiple production lines to produce batteries for electric vehicles (EV) and energy storage systems.

Think BIG Program Grows

Many fourth-grade students in Central Pennsylvania will have the chance to participate in a hands-on science curriculum based on Phoenix Contact’s Think BIG program. As part of the company’s 100th anniversary celebration, Phoenix Contact leaders from Germany and the U.S. donated $565,000 to the Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) 15. CAIU will use the funds to formalize and expand the curriculum for schools within its territory.

Southwire’s facility in Huntersville, N.C., has again been recognized for its efforts in achieving compliance with air quality permits by receiving the annual Air Compliance Excellence (ACE) Award.
