Gary Yu Promotion to President of Diodes Incorporated Announced

On Boxing Day of 2023, Diodes Incorporated announced that as part of a multi-year CEO succession plan its board of directors has approved the promotion of Gary Yu to President effective January 2, 2024. Dr. Keh-Shew Lu will continue to serve as Chairman and CEO until at least May 31, 2027, which is consistent with his current employment agreement. Mr. Yu joined Diodes in 2008 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, a position he was appointed to in February 2023.

EPLAN Data Portal Update 02 December 2023

In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 475 manufacturers and more than 1,585,000 data sets are available with the update December 14, 2023. New manufacturer catalogs are available from Shanghai Flexem Technology Co., Ltd. with 26 new data sets for signal devices, Shenzhen Samkoon Technology Co. Ltd. with 88 new data sets for amplifiers, controllers, PLC and signal devices, and Shihlin Electric & Engineering Corporation with 2,628 new data sets for contactors.

Three Southwire Sites Receive The Copper Mark

The Copper Mark, a major assurance framework for promoting the responsible production, sourcing and recycling of metals, has recently announced the certification of three Southwire facilities: those in Denton, Texas; Bremen, Ind.; and Lafayette, Ind. Southwire signed letters of commitment with the Copper Mark in February, beginning the assurance process for these sites and signaling the company’s intent to meet all applicable standards within 24 months.

nVent Expanding Operations to Support Data Centers Growth in Liquid Cooling

nVent Electric plc has recently announced it will open a new distribution center in Dayton, Minnesota. The current distribution center in Anoka will be used to expand the manufacturing of liquid cooling products for data centers. nVent plans to move into the new distribution center by the end of 2023.
