The EPLAN Data Portal now has 436 manufacturers and more than 1,420,000 data sets available with the update on March 23, 2023. New manufacturer catalogs come from Adamczewski Elektronische Messtechnik GmbH with 65 data sets for input isolators and power value transformers, Fagor Automation, S. Coop. with 21 data sets for converters and PLCs, and Kyowa Europe GmbH with 10 data sets for converters, motors and PLCs.

With Sinamics G220, Siemens is launching a new high-performance frequency converter to join the Sinamics family in the run-up to Hannover Messe 2023. The innovative frequency converters are equipped with so-called clean power technology. This reduces harmonics by up to 97 percent without the need for line harmonic chokes or DC link chokes. As a result, the Sinamics G220 frequency converters are significantly more efficient in terms of space utilization and operation and make engineering much easier. The new frequency converters are also the first Sinamics drives to be part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, the Siemens-wide business platform for digital transformation.

KORE Power, Inc. has recently chosen Siemens to support the company’s future 12-GWh lithium-ion battery cell production facility, known as ‘the KOREPlex.’ Smart factory technology from Siemens and investment capital via Siemens Financial Services will help accelerate the build-out of KORE Power’s Buckeye, AZ-based facility, a plant that will address the growing demand for battery cells due in large part to electric vehicle (EV) and renewable energy applications.
