Phoenix Contact has strengthened its process automation channel by partnering with North East Technical Sales Inc., located in Harleysville, Pa. North East Technical Sales’ expertise in instrumentation for measurement, analysis, and control will complement Phoenix Contact’s technologies, including components for process infrastructure, signal conditioning, and surge protection.
nVent Electric plc has completed the previously announced acquisition of Eldon Holding AB, a privately held European-based enclosures business, for a cash purchase price of approximately $128 million, including repayment of Eldon debt. nVent is a global manufacturer of enclosures, providing innovative solutions that protect, connect and manage heat in critical electronics, communication, control and power equipment through its nVent HOFFMAN and nVent SCHROFF brands.
The International Society of Automation (ISA) announces the fourth edition release of its Control Systems Engineering Exam Reference Manual: A Practical Study Guide—updated to cover the new, 2019 Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) Control Systems Engineering (CSE) exam specifications developed and administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).

During the visit they discussed the impact and opportunities Earth Scout (a newly launched IoT environment sensor) had on local Minnesota agriculture and how it could help improve soil health and yields across the region.
