 August 17, 2020

All good things come to an end, and so did the first Online Summit presented by Pepperl+Fuchs.

Under the motto “Your Future Automation,” five focus topics ranging from industrial sensor technology and electrical explosion protection were highlighted in exciting keynote presentations, live speeches, and panel discussions from July 20 to 24, 2020. The audience gained exclusive insights into future-oriented projects that Pepperl+Fuchs has realized in close partnership with companies such as Bosch, FingerHaus, and montratec. Visitors to the digital event also had the opportunity to get in touch with Pepperl+Fuchs experts and submit questions, which were answered live during the Networking Lounge.

Did you miss a speech or one of the panel discussions, or would you like to watch them again? No problem! The online platform will be accessible through 31 July, 2020—the chat function will also be available for your questions.

Overview of the Highlights
In addition to the recorded speeches and panel discussions, the individual booths also offer interesting facts about products and solutions, application examples, and many links that provide access to further information. These highlight topics await you on the platform:

  • Digital Kanban Management
  • Mobile Devices and Services Drive Digital Transformation
  • Smart Intralogistics Solutions with RFID and LiDAR Technology
  • Ethernet Advanced Physical Layer (Ethernet-APL)
  • The Power of 3-D Measurement Technology

We would like to express our thanks once more to all participants and contributors! We look forward to welcoming you again soon—either virtually or personally!

Comments on the Pepperl+Fuchs Online Summit

Stephan Schumacher, Product Management Cluster Intralogistics, Bosch Connected Industry:Thank you very much for the professional organization of the event and for the fact that we were able to present the intelligent supermarket. Thanks to the agile development approach, we were able to present a first prototype together with Pepperl+Fuchs and Neoception within a short period of time, which we were able to adapt iteratively and specifically to customer requirements. From our point of view, the intelligent supermarket is an essential “enabler” for further optimization in the field of intralogistics.

Gerd Niedermayer, Senior E+I Engineering Manager, BASF SE:My impression was that the event was very well planned and focused on interesting topics what will be relevant for the future. I was also quite impressed by the global reach and large, interested group of participants. Congratulations on this successful event.

Michael Vees, Sales Director DACH, montratec GmbH:During my stay in Mannheim, I felt very comfortable and safe. […] The day (and certainly the entire event) was very professionally organized and structured in the course of the day. From the premises to the film crew with the equipment to the extremely pleasant atmosphere. I felt part of the whole thing every second.

Benedikt Rauscher, Manager Global IoT / Industry 4.0 Projects, Pepperl+Fuchs SE:I found the Online Summit totally exciting. As a listener, you can take part in such an event enormously effectively without having to travel and listen to all the presentations you are interested in in a much more relaxed and undisturbed way.
