OMRON Automation to Showcase Latest AI-Driven AOI Technology at IPC APEX 2025

February 18, 2025

OMRON Automation Americas is set to exhibit at IPC APEX 2025, held at the Anaheim Convention Center from March 18 to March 20.

Attendees are encouraged to explore the latest advancements in SMT manufacturing technology in booth #2900 and #2910.

OMRON will present its new AI-powered Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) features designed to enhance the SMT manufacturing process. This new technology reduces programming time by up to 90%, allowing for faster and more efficient creation of inspection programs. Advanced AI ensures detailed and accurate inspection of solder quality, enhancing reliability and reducing false positives to achieve zero defects.

OMRON 3D CT Automated X-Ray machines maintain a fast inline cycle-time and complete coverage of the entire PCB, while providing high-quality results of the most challenging applications including Generative AI PCBs, eAxle components, and Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors. Our smart factory tool, QupNavi+Opti, empowers engineers with real-time process monitoring tools—from SPI to AXI—to optimize quality and efficiency across the entire production line.

In addition to inspection technology, OMRON will feature its Mobile Technology Center on the trade show floor. Providing visitors with interactive displays of complete factory automation technologies.

“We are excited to showcase our latest AI-driven AOI capabilities and the Mobile Technology Center at IPC APEX 2025. The new AI function dramatically lowers the barrier of entry to program creation, making setup and adjustment simple for everyone. The Mobile Technology Center provides a unique opportunity for attendees to experience our advanced technologies firsthand. We look forward to sharing our innovations and insights with the industry.”
