The AC500-eCo V3 from ABB is a range of compact PLCs providing functionality for cost-effective applications.
AC500-eCo V3 is a ready-to-go solution with all necessary components onboard ready for entry-level automation solutions. The CPUs come in three performance classes: Basic, Standard and Pro.
Modularity
New smart elements on the CPUs make them easy to adapt to the requirements of the target application. Start from small and extremely cost-sensitive stand-alone applications and feel comfortable with the ability to seamlessly adapt the PLC to the next level of machine innovation.
Micro memory card
Available on all CPUs to perform:
- Firmware updates
- Application update
- Data storage
Onboard I/O
Depending on the CPU type, 6 to 12 digital inputs and 4 to 8 digital outputs, relay or transistor are available onboard. In addition, 2 freely configurable digital I/O channels can be used as input or output.
Go for simple motion control
All the CPUs in the AC500-eCo V3 range provide functionality for simple motion applications combining up to four fast counters or two A/B encoders and up to four high-speed outputs configurable for PTO or PWM mode.
