AutomationDirect: R. STAHL Hazardous Area Enclosed Disconnects

October 6, 2026
R. STAHL hazardous area disconnect switches are designed for safe, reliable power isolation in hazardous and corrosive environments.
With current ratings from 15A to 150A and short-circuit current ratings (SCCR) up to 25 kA, they provide flexibility for a wide range of industrial applications.
These disconnects feature rugged fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP) or 316L stainless steel enclosures for excellent durability and corrosion resistance, with NEMA 3, 4, 4X, and IP66 environmental protection ratings. Unlike heavy, bolted designs, they do not require bolts to be torqued. The self-sealed construction also eliminates the need for conduit seals. Lockable rotary handles support lockout/tagout procedures, while integrated grounding provisions and increased-safety terminals simplify installation and maintenance.
Supporting hazardous locations ranging from Class I, Division 2 to globally certified Zone 1 environments, these disconnects help standardize solutions across facilities and regions. Multiple cable entry methods, load-break capability, and fused or non-fused configurations provide the versatility needed for modern industrial operations.
R. STAHL hazardous area disconnects start at $1,442.00 (8146/5-V11E010000000).
