TE Connectivity Adds XRC, SRC and ML-XT Connectors and XRC Terminals to Portfolio

June 23, 2020

TE Connectivity has added Extra Rugged Circular connectors (XRC), Sealed Rectangular Connectors (SRC), ML-XT connectors, and XRC terminals to its portfolio of connectivity solutions.

The connector products, which were formerly produced by Molex, are perfect for harsh environment applications. As a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future, TE will continue to produce the product lines to the highest quality and specifications to ensure a seamless transition for customers in need of the products. TE has started accepting orders for XRC and SRC connectors. Orders for ML-XT and XRC Terminals will commence Nov. 1, 2020.

“The XRC, SRC, ML-XT and XRC terminals have been trusted names in connectors for years,” said Jean-Paul Gervais, TE’s global product manager for industrial and commercial transportation. “We are excited to have these connector solutions included in the TE portfolio moving forward. It will enable us to offer even more flexibility to our customers.”

The XRC circular connectors are heavy-duty plastic connectors available in two shell sizes with the 18-14 and 24-31 contact arrangements. The SRC rectangular connectors are a sealed high pin-count hybrid solution available in eight contact arrangements offering a mix of power and signal circuits up to 84 positions. ML-XT sealed rectangular connectors are offered in two, three, four, six, eight, 12 and 18 positions. XRC terminals deliver current ratings up to 13 amps.

The key benefits for XRC, SRC, ML-XT and XRC terminals are their reliability, ease of use and flexibility for harsh environment applications. These rugged connector solutions are ideal for the construction, agriculture, specialty vehicle, truck, bus, recreational and marine industries for use within wire-to-wire, panel mount and bulkhead/firewall applications.
