AutomationDirect: ProSense Advanced Process Controllers

Made exclusively for AutomationDirect by Yokogawa, the ProSense PPC5 series of Advanced Process Controllers has the features, functionality, and performance to handle temperature, pressure, level, flow, and other process variable control applications. These controllers accept inputs directly from thermocouples or RTDs and analog signals from most any type of process variable sensor/transmitter.

  •  –   Models are available with an additional analog input for remote setpoint and up to 4 contact inputs that can be selected to perform up to 17 functions.
  •  –   The control output is user selected to be a relay, voltage pulse, or linear current output. An analog retransmission output is selectable to represent the PV, SP, target SP, remote SP, or output signal.
  •  –   Three alarm contact outputs can be configured for 30 alarm types and 10 alarm functions.
  •  –   The PPC5 series can be ordered with RS-485 Modbus ASCII/RTU, or with Ethernet+RS-485 gateway Modbus TCP/IP communications.

AutomationDirect now offers Cat6a industrial Ethernet cables from Murrelektronik. These shielded cables include an M12 X-coded connection on one end and an RJ45 connection on the other. The X-coded designation is commonly used with industrial vision systems. These high-flex industrial Ethernet cables are available in lengths up to 5m with transmission speed capability up to 10Gbps. These cables have a TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) jacket that is flame-retardant and chemical resistant.

AutomationDirect: FATH T-Slotted Rail Hardware

AutomationDirect has added additional sizes and styles of FATH T-slotted rail hardware. Several new types of fasters have been added including socket head cap screws, flanged button head socket cap Torx head screws, flat head socket cap screws, self-tapping screws, and reducer bushings. Additional sizes of button head socket cap head screws, roll-in T-slot nuts, hammer nuts, economy nuts, caster adapter plates, and transport base/plates have also been added.

AutomationDirect has added Patlite NE series visual and audible-visual signaling beacons to their portfolio of industrial signaling devices. These signaling devices are offered as visual-only beacons or as combination devices with a buzzer or selectable tone alarm (8 different tones) and signal beacon. Mono-color beacons are available in red, yellow, green, blue, or clear models. Multi-color versions support 7 selectable colors allowing users to signal numerous different equipment conditions with one device.

Gefran Magnetostrictive Linear Position Transducers from AutomationDirect

AutomationDirect has added Gefran WPG and WPP series magnetostrictive linear position transducers. These transducers work like other linear position sensors by translating a linear position to an electrical signal. However, they are contactless, which provides a longer life because there is no mechanical wear; since they use magnetostrictive technology, they are also immune to electromagnetic interferences.
