Jeff Hall Announced as Newly Promoted Plant Manager for Robroy Industries Enclosures Division
Robroy Industries Enclosures Division, manufacturers of Stahlin and AttaBox enclosures, has recently announced that Jeff Hall has been promoted to Plant Manager for the company’s enclosure manufacturing facility in Belding, Michigan. Mr. Hall will be responsible for all plant functions as well as managing maintenance team and providing support to the Operations Team. He provides extensive experience from nearly 17 years with Robroy Industries as a plant engineer. Additional expertise includes tool and mold design, injection molding, and facilities management.

Prolec GE Completes Acquisition of SPX’s Transformer Solutions Business
GE-Prolec Transformers, Inc. (together with its affiliates, “Prolec GE”), a subsidiary of a 50/50 joint venture between GE (NYSE:GE) and Xignux, a Mexico-based private company, recently announced it has completed the acquisition of SPX Corporation’s (NYSE: SPXC) SPX Transformer Solutions business. The contract purchase price was $645 million, subject to a net working capital adjustment and other typical adjustments.

RS recently announced a further expansion in the capability of DesignSpark — its fast-growing online community for engineers — with its new Product Design Center, shortly after the reveal of its new circuit simulator tool. Siemens: SIMOVAC Non-Arc-Resistant and SIMOVAC-AR Arc-Resistant Motor Controllers
The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400). The enclosure is designed for front access, allowing the equipment to be located with the rear of the equipment close to a non-combustible wall.
