Pepperl+Fuchs now supports the Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) in its role as one of the founding members. This new association was established by the German trade associations ZVEI, VDMA, and Bitkom, along with 20 companies from the machine building and electronics industries. The aim is to increase use of Industry 4.0 through joint development of a “digital twin.” The digital twin functions as the interface for physical industrial products in the digital world within Industry 4.0 applications.

NSI’s Building Technologies Business Unit Grows with Acquisition of ENET Solutions, Inc.
NSI Industries, LLC has announced that it has acquired ENET Solutions, Inc., an Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based based manufacturer and solution provider of compatible network peripherals and connectivity products, represented by Global Capital Markets, Inc. As part of its commitment to connecting distributors to the products, services, and technologies they require to move forward and satisfy their customers’ needs, the acquisition also allows NSI to further key inroads into the Building Technologies market.

Siemens: SIMOVAC Non-Arc-Resistant and SIMOVAC-AR Arc-Resistant Motor Controllers
The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400). The enclosure is designed for front access, allowing the equipment to be located with the rear of the equipment close to a non-combustible wall.
