EPLAN Data Portal Update 02 July 2024
In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 496 manufacturers and more than 1,800,000 data sets that are available with the update on July 25, 2024. New manufacturer catalogs are available from iba AG with 5 new data sets for PLCs, JingQi (Tianjin) technology Co., Ltd. with 210 new data sets for PLCs, sensors, switches and pushbuttons, and Kriwan Industrie-Elektronik GmbH with 13 new data sets for general, measuring instruments and test devices.
Emerson Appoints Michael Tang as Chief Legal Officer
Emerson has recently announced the appointment of Michael Tang as senior vice president, secretary and chief legal officer, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Tang succeeds Sara Yang Bosco, who will retire from Emerson on Dec. 31 after 18 years with the company. As chief legal officer, Tang will be responsible for all legal matters and global security pertaining to Emerson, including corporate governance, M&A, compliance, dispute resolution, and corporate and commercial operational matters.

Siemens: SIMOVAC Non-Arc-Resistant and SIMOVAC-AR Arc-Resistant Motor Controllers
The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400). The enclosure is designed for front access, allowing the equipment to be located with the rear of the equipment close to a non-combustible wall.
