Partnership Between Trace Software International and EPLAN

October 27, 2022

Trace Software is pleased to announce the signature of a major partnership with EPLAN.

As part of the “EPLAN Partner Network”, Trace Software will complete EPLAN’s offer regarding electrical installation sizing. This partnership will provide joint customers with consistent solutions.

The first step of this collaboration is to set up a gateway between elec calc, calculation software for HV/LV installations, and EPLAN Platform, CAE solution. The goal of this collaboration is to create a continuity in electrical design by automatically generating EPLAN files from elec calc, thus bringing overall expertise to the project.

This partnership is part of our commitment to provide our customers with increasingly productive and innovative solutions and to accelerate our international deployment, particularly in Germany. We will work together to facilitate the digital transformation of electrical installations.

“The challenges faced by our customers in the building technologies and energy sector includes shorter project times with higher quality requirements, which must be realized more cost-effectively. This requires optimization of processes at all levels. Integrated connections and consistent data along the entire value chain are a great added value for our customers. We see the partnership with Trace Software as a consequence and it helps us to plan and realize the further development of the connector professionally and systematically.” – Rolf Schulte, Vertical Market Manager Building Technologies

“Today ensuring the continuity of data is crucial to optimise workflows. With elec calc it is possible to design the digital twin of an electrical installation from design to operation. The documentation provided must be exhaustive for any project, so approaching EPLAN, one of the leaders in electrical CAD, with EPLAN Platform, was natural for us. The combination of the two solutions will enable to carry out an entire electrical study. We are very proud to collaborate inside the EPLAN Partner Network as a Technology partner with EPLAN and to be able to revolutionise electrical engineering together.” – Jérôme Mullie, Technical Director
