nVent Completes Acquisition of ECM Industries

nVent Electric plc has recently announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of ECM Investors, LLC, the parent company of ECM Industries, LLC (“ECM”), for a purchase price of $1.1 billion, subject to customary adjustments.

ECM Industries is a provider of high-value electrical connectors, tools and test instruments and cable management.

Beth Wozniak, nVent Chair and CEO, said, “I am excited to welcome the ECM team to nVent. ECM’s complementary electrical power connection and grounding solutions portfolio further positions nVent with the electrification of everything. The addition of ECM is exciting, and we are confident it will deliver significant value for our customers, employees and shareholders.”

ECM is a North American provider of electrical connectivity products with industry-leading brands, including ILSCO, Gardner Bender and King Innovation. With headquarters in New Berlin, Wisconsin, ECM has approximately 1,400 employees.

Measurement Specialties Inc., a subsidiary of TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL), a global industrial technology company with leading positions in connectivity and sensing solutions, completed the previously announced acquisition of Silicon Microstructures Inc. from Elmos Semiconductor AG (XTRA: ELG) on Sept. 30.

In this update of the EPLAN Data Portal, there are now a total of 487 manufacturers and more than 1,680,000 data sets are available with the update on April 11, 2024. Siemens: Sinamics G220 Added to Xcelerator Portfolio

With Sinamics G220, Siemens is launching a new high-performance frequency converter to join the Sinamics family in the run-up to Hannover Messe 2023. The innovative frequency converters are equipped with so-called clean power technology. This reduces harmonics by up to 97 percent without the need for line harmonic chokes or DC link chokes. As a result, the Sinamics G220 frequency converters are significantly more efficient in terms of space utilization and operation and make engineering much easier. The new frequency converters are also the first Sinamics drives to be part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, the Siemens-wide business platform for digital transformation.
