C&K Expands Navigation Switch Offering

C&K has launched a new navigation switch, the SAMXD (Seat Adjustment Module Dustproof). Ideal for automotive applications, the SAMXD has a multiple options for actuator position and shape. The SAMXD navigation switches are directly driving the electric motors, removing the need for relays, allowing for space and cost savings.

Offering expertise gained from the previously launched SAM Series, the dust protection and end stop addition strengthens the SAMXD product offering compared to competitors.

The SAMXD offers two actuation forces (5.3N & 6N) and two actuator positions, left and middle. In addition to multiple actuator positions, there are also two actuator shapes, square and round.

“The SAMXD series Navigation Switch allows for the designer to have flexibility to design the switch into automotive seats,” said Jerome Smolinski, Global Product Manager at C&K. “We are proud to extend and improve the SAM switch family with feedback from current customers.”

The 756 Series M8 and M12 interconnecting cables are now available in pre-assembled form in many lengths between 0.3 and 20 meters. Custom cable lengths are also available upon request. The M8 and M12 cables are A-coded and available with pole numbers of 3, 4 and 5, so the right cable of the required length is now available for any I/O system for wiring sensors/actuators.

The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400).

With the new practical DHS-150 door handle system, the slimline AZM150 solenoid interlock from Schmersal is now even easier to use. The ergonomic DHS-150 avoids the need for a separate door handle and is suitable for machine enclosures or fencing and for all standard aluminium profiles with a width of 40 mm.
