LAPP Will Introduce a Plug-And-Play Data Cable Monitoring Device at PACK EXPO 2022

ETHERLINE GUARD is a new, plug-and-play cable monitoring device that acquires sensor data about the physical properties of industrial Ethernet data cables, allowing users to monitor actual cable performance and identify degradation over time. With ETHERLINE GUARD, users can implement a preventative maintenance strategy while avoiding unplanned downtimes and premature cable replacement.

This compact, easy-to-use device is well-suited for 100BASE-TX (up to 100 Mbit/s) data cables in accordance with IEEE 802.3 as well as EtherCAT, EtherNET/IP and 2-pair PROFINET applications.

In addition to ETHERLINE GUARD, visitors to the booth can also check out many other products from LAPP’s varied lineup. Highlights include:

   –   SKINTOP MULTI-M strain relief bushing system. This multi-cable bushing system organizes multiple unharnessed cables and provides high packing density to save space in tight cabinet installations. Elastic gel technology gives each cable an IP68 seal.

   –   LAPP ӦLFLEX VFD – light, medium, and heavy-duty cable range. Engineered to operate in harsh factory conditions, LAPP ӦLFLEX VFD cables resist oil, water and impacts. Bel Fuse Inc recently announced the expansion of their portfolio to include the TET3600-48-104RA, a 3.6kW Titanium efficient AC-DC front-end power supply that can convert up to 277 VAC into a main adjustable (42-58 VDC) output for powering high performance Datacenter, Network, Industrial and Broadcast applications. The TET3600 delivers a power density of 56 W/in3 and achieves Titanium efficiency (>97% efficient at 50% load) in a compact package measuring 104 x 40 x 256 mm (4.09 x 1.57 x 10.08 in.).

AutomationDirect has added several new additions to the powerful LS Electric XGB PLC series. For discrete (ON/OFF) monitoring and control, a new lower-cost 24 VDC 8-point input module, 8-point 12-24 VDC sinking and sourcing output modules, an 8-point relay module with Form A contacts, and a 16-point combination discrete input/relay output module are now available.
