Phoenix Contact: SPTH 1.5 and 3 Terminal Blocks Expand PCB Design Options

pbus 92 spth1.5&3terminalblocks 1200

October 6, 2026

Device manufacturers can now switch between screw connection and Push-in Technology without changing the PCB layout or device housing. The new SPTH 1.5 and 3 terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact feature a TWIN design with a footprint identical to the popular MKDS screw terminal blocks, ensuring compatibility with existing layouts.

Phoenix Contact’s time-saving Push-in Technology eliminates the need for tools and ensures a long-term, stable connection. The terminal blocks feature larger test openings and a connection capacity of up to 12 AWG. They are 20 percent smaller than comparable push-in PCB terminal blocks.

The solder pins have an insertion geometry optimized for precise positioning during assembly. With a current-carrying capacity of up to 20 A and a nominal voltage of 300 V, the SPTH 1.5 and 3 are suitable for both signal and power applications.
