Safe heating under extreme conditions

When it gets cold and damp outside, you need a solution inside that reliably protects technology. With the new CS 032 enclosure heater, STEGO is expanding its product portfolio with a powerful, compact heating solution for demanding operating conditions – wherever humidity, cold and temperature fluctuations pose a risk to sensitive electronics.

Enclosures are exposed to extreme environmental influences, particularly in applications such as wind turbines, power distribution systems, mechanical engineering or infrastructure projects. The consequences: Condensation, short circuits, malfunctions – and in the worst case, complete system failures. The CS 032 ensures safe and constant heat so that electrical components work reliably – at temperatures from -45 °C to +70 °C and humidity levels of up to 90 %.

Two models – one goal: maximum protection

With the CS 032 Basic and the CS 032 Plus, STEGO offers two variants that are tailored to different requirements – but both pursue the same goal: Reliable prevention of condensate with minimum space requirements.

The basic version is ideal for applications where simple, robust heating is required. With fixed heating outputs of 600, 800 or 1,000 watts, it can be connected directly to existing control systems. Its compact design (66 × 96 × 120 mm) allows installation even in densely populated control cabinets – with either horizontal or vertical air flow. An automatic temperature monitor provides reliable protection against overheating in the event of a fan failure.

The CS 032 Plus goes one step further: with variable heat output between 600 and 1,200 watts, it adapts flexibly to changing conditions. The intelligent control system regulates heating operation dynamically: In the event of sharp temperature drops, it activates a rapid heating function with maximum output, while smaller fluctuations are automatically switched to efficiency mode. This allows energy savings of up to 23 % – a clear advantage for sustainable applications with high energy efficiency requirements.

Easy to install – safe to operate

What counts in the control cabinet is not only performance – but also ease of installation and operational safety. That’s why the CS 032 comes with clip and screw fastening as standard, is easy to mount on the 35 mm DIN rail and can be connected without any tools thanks to push-in terminals. This saves time – and ensures a stable connection, even if the switch cabinet is transported pre-assembled.

The new heating series is also impressive when it comes to safety: the touch-safe plastic housing reliably protects against accidental contact – an important factor, especially during maintenance work or in tight installation spaces.

Globally applicable – locally efficient

The CS 032 is designed so that it can be easily integrated into a wide variety of system environments. Variants for 220-240 V AC and 110-120 V AC allow it to be used worldwide – from industrial halls in Central Europe to wind farms in North America. With the new CS 032 enclosure heater, STEGO not only brings more heat into the enclosure – but also more safety, efficiency and flexibility in demanding applications.
