Mennekes: New SLPB Series Pushbutton Control Stations and Enclosures Combine Hygiene and Convenience

Introducing the new Mennekes SLPB Series
Adding a control station for equipment deployed in hygienic environments, where it will be exposed to washdowns, humidity and cleaning agents, requires careful consideration of a long list of priorities. These include a robust enclosure to protect internal electrical components like pushbuttons, maintenance of hygienic standards and effective rust protection — all while still allowing access to machine operators. While it’s possible to build a pushbutton control station that meets these requirements, a pre-assembled unit can also check all the boxes, allowing you to get your system up and running quickly and easily.
The Mennekes SLPB Series of hygienic, stainless steel enclosures are available as individual blank units or pre-assembled with control devices such as an E-stop, pushbuttons, indicator lights or a three-position selector switch. They can also be customized for your specific application requirements.
SLPB Series enclosures have all the features of Mennekes’ SPEC grade enclosures, such as 304 stainless steel construction and a 15° sloped roof to facilitate runoff in washdown and drainage areas. In addition, their shrouded design minimizes damage to cover-mounted components. This series of enclosures is also UL Listed, rated IP69K 4X; 12.
With these modular enclosures, machine builders can combine easy access to control components while protecting them against harsh conditions in hygienic and wet environments. The result: less downtime for installation and maintenance, greater operator safety plus compliance with critical hygiene and safety regulations.
