OKW: Ergonomic SMART-CASE Handheld Enclosures With IP 65 Protection

OKW is offering size L and XL SMART-CASE handheld enclosures with optional IP 65 ingress protection for challenging indoor and outdoor environments.
Ergonomic SMART-CASE features a contoured design for maximum user comfort. It is perfect for a wide range of remote control and mobile USB electronics. Applications include medical/social care, household and industrial technology.
The enclosures can be specified in six versions. They can be specified with either an eyelet for key rings, a pre-fitted cable gland, a battery compartment (2 x AA, 2 x AAA, 1 x 9 V) or neither cable gland nor battery compartment. IP 65 ingress protection is available on L and XL sizes without a battery compartment.
On most variants, the operating area is recessed to protect a membrane keypad or product label. Inside, there are fastening pillars and fixing supports for PCBs and components.
SMART-CASE is moulded from ABS. Infrared-permeable PMMA is also available as standard. Both plastics are UL 94 HB. There are four sizes: XS (2.28″ x 1.40″ x 0.75″), M (3.78″ x 1.85″ x 0.95″), L (5.51″ x 2.47″ x 1.20″ and XL (6.61″ x 2.93″x 1.39″). The standard colors are off-white (RAL 9002) and black (RAL 9005). Custom colors are available on request.
Accessories include: a key ring, lanyard, desktop docking stations, pull relief cable clamp, spring contact, wall holders, adhesive foil, rail holding clamps, ring eyelets, belt/pocket clips, contact pin, battery clips, battery holder, battery contact, plug-in contact (9 V), seals and self-tapping screws.
OKW can supply SMART-CASE fully customized. Services include machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, decor foils, special materials, RFI/EMI shielding, and installation/assembly of accessories.
