nVent Hoffman: New 60Classic and CrossBoard Busbar Systems

Announcing nVent Hoffman’s new Busbar Systems, which expand the company’s portfolio with a more complete power distribution solution. Compared to traditional wiring, these busbar systems provide safer, smarter and more efficient power distribution for modern industrial and commercial applications.

nVent Hoffman is offering two different Busbar Systems, each designed to meet different application needs. Key details for both systems are outlined below. 

60Classic System:

  • Various collector rails and the individually configurable length of the system for individual solutions for each application
  • Space-saving design ensures clear installation and enables efficient use of the available switchgear space
  • Allows the highest power currents, up to 2800 A
  • Numerous components meet the requirements of UL 508A

CrossBoard System:

  • Single catalog number provides a complete power distribution solution, eliminating the need for complex short-circuit calculations
  • The out-of-the-box system reduces the amount of manual setup, supported by plug-in connection for quick and tool-free setup
  • Supports up to 800 A currents 
  • Hybrid rail that allows components with plug-in technology and screw connection components to be mounted on the same system

Siemens: SIMOVAC Non-Arc-Resistant and SIMOVAC-AR Arc-Resistant Motor Controllers

The Siemens SIMOVAC medium-voltage non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-resistant controllers have a modular design incorporating up to two 12SVC400 (400 A) controllers, housed in a freestanding sheet steel enclosure. Each controller is UL 347 class E2, equipped with three current-limiting fuses, a non-load-break isolating switch, and a fixed-mounted vacuum contactor (plug-in type optional for 12SVC400). The enclosure is designed for front access, allowing the equipment to be located with the rear of the equipment close to a non-combustible wall.
