Weidmuller USA Brings CUBESERIES Relay Kitting to Richmond, Strengthening Supply for North American Customers

Weidmuller USA has recently announced that kitted options of the CUBESERIES Industrial Relay line are now assembled in the USA at the company’s recently opened Richmond production facility. This now offers North American customers a more resilient, responsive supply chain, faster fulfillment and a larger portfolio of products.
The move reflects Weidmuller’s continued investment in U.S.-based manufacturing and supply chain responsiveness. By assembling kits in Richmond, Weidmuller can provide shorter delivery times, increased supply continuity and local support for customers building control panels, industrial machinery and automation systems across North America.
Detailed benefits of this onshoring initiative for relay kitting include:
- Faster availability and replenishment for production schedules
- Reduced exposure to overseas shipping delays and supply chain disruptions, which industry observers continue to cite as a major driver of domestic sourcing
- Simplified procurement through a single part number, reducing stock-keeping requirements for CUBESERIES Relay Module parts; each relay kit consists of a relay, a socket, a retaining clip and a status indicator
- Labor and installation time savings, leading to reducing end product costs
- Greater confidence that products are assembled, tested, marked with required approvals and shipped from a North American facility
Due to their durability and robust design, the multifaceted CUBESERIES Relay Modules can reliably switch a multitude of small loads, decouple systems and multiply signals. The relay line supports both PUSH IN and Screw clamp wire termination technology to enable simple wiring and quick installation. In addition, Weidmuller offers several voltage options for both the CRI and CRM preassembled relay modules, and they can be ordered with or without a test button.
