Allied Electronics & Automation Expands PPE, Automation and Control Line Cards with 11 New Suppliers

Allied Electronics & Automation has added 11 new suppliers of personal protective equipment (PPE) and automation and control solutions to its roster of more than 500 world-class suppliers. New products now available at www.alliedelec.com include PPE from suppliers Lift Safety, Spray Nine, DYMON, and SCRUBS; QA1 bearings; linear actuators from Duff-Norton; linear motion products from PBC Linear; motor control and drives from Dart Controls; Hongfa relays; YS Tech USA thermal management devices; and Lan-Power power over Ethernet (PoE) products.

The additional product categories now available from these suppliers enhance Allied’s available selection of a wide range of industrial components and supplies including PPE, cleaning and maintenance products, motors, industrial controls, relays and power products.

As part of its focus on improving the customer experience, Allied will continue to expand its product portfolio throughout 2021 and beyond to meet customers’ wide-ranging needs. In 2020, the company added more than 50 new best-in-class suppliers to its linecard, bringing more than 10,000 new ready-to-ship product lines to customers. Allied has also recently doubled the capacity of its Fort Worth distribution center and provides online customers with tens of thousands of 360-degree high-resolution images, more than 1.1 million up-to-date product data sheets, expert advice on a wide range of topics, and a connection to the company’s global DesignSpark free online engineering collaboration platform.

Rockwell Automation Names Matt Fordenwalt Senior Vice President, Lifecycle Services

Rockwell Automation, Inc. has recently announced that Matt Fordenwalt has been named senior vice president, Lifecycle Services, effective June 1. He will report to Rockwell Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Blake Moret. In this role, Fordenwalt will head the Lifecycle Services operating segment and will be responsible for leading one of the three operating segments in Rockwell Automation. Lifecycle Services is a way to deliver domain expertise at all touchpoints of a customer’s experience and ensures the positive business outcomes that give Rockwell customers a faster return on their automation investment.

Recently, Graybar announced that it has acquired Blazer Electric Supply, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, effective March 1, 2024. Blazer Electric Supply is an electrical distributor that serves construction, commercial, institutional, and industrial customers. The company was founded in 2009 and operates two locations in southern Colorado. As a subsidiary of Graybar, the company will operate under the Blazer Electric Supply name. Trevor Blazer will serve as president, and the company’s employees will continue to support customers with the same products, solutions, and services.
