Through the SPIRE qualification program, Siemens assessors will perform a SPIRE Smart Building Assessment and submit findings for independent review by UL Solutions.

ABB and Niedax Group to Create Joint Venture to Meet Growing Demand for Cable Tray Systems in North America

ABB and Niedax Group, a global supplier of cable management systems, have entered into an agreement to form a new 50/50 joint venture. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Expected to close and commence operations in Q4 2024, the collaboration will integrate the North American cable tray businesses of ABB’s Installation Products Division and Niedax Group into a new joint venture. The plan is to deliver advanced solutions and services to electrical contractors, distributors and systems integrators across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Schneider Electric to Invest $140 Million in 2024 to Expand U.S. Manufacturing Presence to Support Critical Infrastructure, Industries, and Data Center Demand

Recently, Schneider Electric announced plans to invest $140 million into its U.S. manufacturing operations and create about 750 new manufacturing jobs across the country in 2024. The company will invest $85 million initially to transform and equip an existing 500,000 square foot building in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and upgrade its existing Smyrna, Tennessee manufacturing operations. Both locations will manufacture custom electrical switchgear and medium voltage power distribution products to bolster support for critical infrastructure, industries, and the escalating demand for data center solutions across the U.S.
