ROLEC’s New Color-Coded starCASE Enclosures

Color-coded trims are now available as an option on ROLEC’s starCASE premium plastic enclosures for industrial electronics.

Elegant but tough IP 66 rated starCASE can be installed anywhere – on walls, machines and bulkheads. Applications include monitoring systems, IIoT, HVAC controllers, safety equipment, factory automation, security systems and test and measurement.

The trims, which cover the lid and mounting screws, are now optionally available in red, blue or anthracite, in addition to the standard light gray (RAL 7035). They are fitted with non-detachable hinges to stop them from being dropped or lost. Separate screw channels mean starCASE can be mounted ‘lid closed’ to protect the seal and electronics.

The lid is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad, product label or front plate. Integrated flexible support straps ensure the lid remains attached to the base when the unit is open. Inside, there are screw bosses for the installation of PCBs, mounting plates and terminal rails.

Robust starCASE is molded from UV-stable and flame-retardant ASA Luran in eight sizes from 4.72”x3.54”x1.96” to 11.02” x 6.69” x 2.36”. The standard color is light gray (RAL 7035). Prices start at $34.

Options and accessories for starCASE include keylocks for added security. ROLEC can also supply the housings fully customized ready for the installation of components. Services include CNC machining, painting, powder coating, engraving, laser processing, digital printing, membrane keypads, display windows and full assembly.
