TTI: Vishay Offers MIL-PRF-39009, Type RER, Wirewound Resistors

TTI, Inc. is stocking the Vishay RER Military, High-Reliability, Chassis-Mount Wirewound Resistor. Qualified to MIL-PRF-39009 and up to “R” level failure rate, the aluminum-housed (ERH) standard or the non-inductive (ENH) winding/molded construction gives complete environmental protection. The RER, high-reliability resistor mounts on chassis for high stability at conventional power ratings. It is available in four sizes from 5 watt to 30 watt with a 1 percent tolerance and “R” failure rate.

The RER Series conforms to the MIL-PRF-39009, which includes 100 percent, 100-hour power conditioning. Reliability determination requires a 10,000-hour load life in addition to other rigid environmental testing to conform to the above specification. Available packaging is “card pack.” The RER, high-reliability resistor is suitable for military, space and medical applications.
