Weidmuller USA has recently unveiled the CRIMPFIX R VARIO for simpler, faster crimping of wire end ferrules, featuring a 5-inch touchscreen and a continuous preloading component that reduces cycle times.
CRIMPFIX R VARIO provides cabinet builders with maximum flexibility and efficiency in ferrule processing within a conductor cross-section range of 0.5 mm2 to 2.5 mm2 (AWG 20-14) for ferrule lengths of 8 mm and 10 mm. The innovative solution comes equipped with an intelligent control system enabling quick and convenient conversion between different conductor cross-sections and supports a smooth workflow in daily operation.
Special features of CRIMPFIX R VARIO include:
- Speed Mode: Offers continuous preloading of the next ferrule, making it immediately available for use and resulting in minimal cycle times in as little as 1.5 seconds
- Reliable and Optimized Ferrule Transport System: Guarantees consistently high process reliability through advanced sensor technology, precise guidance, robust metal transports and retaining clips and a plexiglass cover
- 5-inch Touchscreen: Allows cabinet builders to easily navigate through settings and conveniently select cross-sections and production modes for speed and stripping
- Tool-free Screw Adjustment: Reduces setup times when changing ferrule lengths (L2)
- Improved Ferrule Holder: Enables more robust ferrule feeding due to improvements in the ferrule holder of the crimping die
- Enhanced Sensors: Checks if a ferrule was loaded in the die correctly and confirms if the crimp was completed
