Amphenol RF: Locking Connector SMA Cable Assemblies – Lock In a Secure Connection in Vibration-Prone Environments

Amphenol RF: Locking Connector SMA Cable Assemblies

April 1, 2025

Amphenol RF is excited to announce the expansion of its locking cable assembly portfolio with configurations utilizing high-frequency SMA connectors.

The secure locking feature of the locking connector on these cable assemblies increases the necessary force required to de-mate the connector, making them ideal for strenuous applications that undergo continuous movement or vibrations. The 1.13 mm cabling used on these assemblies is easily routable, and comes in pre-configured lengths of 50 mm to 400 mm.

The SMA connector featured on the assembly has a threaded coupling mechanism guaranteeing a secure connection. MHF I LK locking connectors are made from durable phosphor bronze with gold plating, guaranteeing resistance to harsh environments. SMA connectors are constructed from brass and also feature gold plating. Quality materials used in the construction of these assemblies assures high-performance reliability in a variety of demanding and rigorous applications.

This new expansion supports frequencies of up to 6 GHz and is available as an off-the-shelf solution. It joins a growing catalog of locking cable assemblies engineered for use in innovative applications such as drones, wireless communication and automotive.

Carlo Gavazzi: New DPA 3-Phase Voltage Monitoring Relays for HVAC Systems Using Low-GWP Refrigerants

The HVAC industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Manufacturers are phasing out high-GWP HFCs in favor of next-generation refrigerants such as R-32, R-1234yf and R-290. While these alternatives support climate goals, they also present a higher ignition risk—requiring strict compliance with IEC/EN 60335-2-40 and UL 60335-2-40 safety standards. Carlo Gavazzi’s new DPA relays provide a… Read More…
